Rules for the Celebration

Available Locations:

• City Council Hall

• Piazza del Plebiscito (in front of the Town Hall)

• Abbey of San Galgano

• Chapter Hall and Scriptorium at the Abbey of San Galgano

• Other locations approved with specific agreements

Times and Days:

Every day of the year, excluding major holidays (e.g. December 25, Easter).

No more than 3 weddings/civil unions per day in public places.

Timings:

Maximum duration: 45 minutes.

Request to respect the times chosen for the celebration.

Arrangements:

Arrangements provided by the Municipality (e.g. tables and chairs).

Personal decorations allowed upon approval and at the expense of the users.

Responsibilities and Prohibitions:

Prohibition of spreading rice or confetti.

Responsibility for damage to the spaces.

Penalties in the event of delay:

Delay exceeding 15 minutes: penalty of €200.

Over 30 minutes: the celebration may be cancelled without reimbursement of the sums paid.

Fees for Residents and AIRE Members:

Sala del Consiglio Comunale/Piazza del Plebiscito: Free.

Abbey of San Galgano, Sala Capitolare and Scriptorium:

On time: €300.

Out of time: €500.

Night: €1,000.

After closing time: €2,500.

Fees for Non-Residents and Foreigners:

Sala del Consiglio Comunale/Piazza del Plebiscito: €200 - €300.

Abbey of San Galgano, Sala Capitolare and Scriptorium:

On time: €1,000.

Out of time: €1,500.

Night: €2,000.

After closing time: €5,000.

Procedures:

Booking through the Civil Status Office with payment of fees in two installments (50% at the time of booking, balance at least 20 days before).

In the event of cancellation by the Municipality, only the amounts already paid will be refunded.

Symbolic Ceremonies:

Allowed in the specified locations, with a maximum duration of 50 minutes.

Subject to the same rates and payment methods as civil weddings.
