How far is the villa from the Abbey of San Galgano?

2.5 km, about five minutes by car. After the ceremony your guests reach the aperitif without a long transfer.

How many guests can the villa host?

Up to 120 guests seated at round tables in the indoor halls, and up to 120 outdoors in the gardens.

Is the villa exclusively ours?

Yes. For the whole wedding day the villa, gardens, pool and barn are reserved for you and your guests alone.

What if it rains?

The great indoor halls, about 155 m² of connecting rooms, seat up to 120 guests. No marquee is needed: the rain plan is already part of the villa.

Can we stay at the villa?

Yes, there are 4 independent apartments sleeping 4 each, up to 16 guests (12 recommended: 8 adults and 4 children). They are ideal for the couple, their families or the witnesses.

Is the villa old?

Yes. It stands on an 18th-century post station and still has its hand-cut sandstone walls, vaulted ceilings and original mangers.

Do you provide catering?

We work with trusted Tuscan caterers who use local, seasonal produce, but you are free to choose your own suppliers. We are happy to share our list of partners (catering, flowers, music, photographers).

Can we have the aperitif or cut the cake by the pool?

Of course: the saltwater pool (16 × 8 m), looking out over the Sienese hills, is one of the most popular spots for the aperitif and for cutting the cake. The old barn is the alternative, perfect for a candlelit atmosphere.

Can we visit the villa?

Yes, and we recommend it. Write to us to arrange a visit: we will show you around and talk it through together.

Can the wedding be held at the Abbey of San Galgano?

Yes. Civil and symbolic ceremonies are booked through the Civil Registry Office of the Municipality of Chiusdino. Our Rules and fees page lists the locations, times and costs.
